Money In Your Pocket
Families (2 or more people) who made $67,000 or less and individuals who made $45,000 or less in 2024 may be eligible to receive FREE tax preparation through the Money in Your Pocket (MIYP) program!
As another tax preparation season returns, we are proud to announce our return as a tax prep site for the Money In Your Pocket (MIYP) Program.
The MIYP campaign is a community collaboration of organizations led by the United Way of the Capital Region committed to local families' economic stability. The program aims to increase the use of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Child Tax Credit (CTC).
Volunteers prepare computerized, electronic returns through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Tax Income Assistance (VITA) program, which is designed to provide low- to moderate-income working families with help completing federal and state returns and obtaining credits for which they are eligible.
